There are basically two kinds of braces:

Standard Metal Braces

Titanium alloy is used for metal braces. These type of braces are set-up with or without color brackets. They may take from 1 to 3 years and costs are from $ 1,200 to $ 10,000.
 
Non-Invasive Straightening

This is a rather new form of straightening teeth and it is done with retainers, or "aligners". Results are seen in only 6 months to 1 1/2 years and they are virtually invisible. Costs are $ 2,000 and up. Dr Ruintan performs only the non-invasive type of Orthodontics Procedure and the method he uses is Invisalign ™.
